Shia LaBeouf Won’t Be Back For The Next Indiana Jones Film
I think we all knew it was unlikely he would return and writer David Koepp has now confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that Shia LaBeouf will not be back for Indiana Jones 5.
Koepp had this to say to EW:
"Harrison plays Indiana Jones, that I can certainly say…and the Shia LaBeouf character is not in the film.’
That is about as clear as it gets. Shia has definitely had some odd moments since Crystal Skull hit theaters in 2008. He also has had some less than positive things to say about Steven Spielberg in the public in recent years, and that is something that is definitely not good for job security in Hollywood.
But, you have to wonder if him being left out of the next film has more to do with his behavior or the lackluster response the public had towards Crystal Skull? I am not a fan of Crystal Skull, but I honestly feel Shia’s character Mutt was one of the better things in the film.
