Steven Spielberg Directing His First DC Comics Adaptation?
Steven Spielberg is said to be considering the DC Comic’s film, Blackhawk. He is definitely producing the film for Amblin, but he has not yet decided if he will direct the film based on a comic book.
It was wonderful working with the team at Warner Bros. to bring Ready Player One to the screen. They bring a blend of passion and professionalism to everything they do and have a tremendous history in this genre. I am excited to reunite with them on Blackhawk.’"
This would of course be huge news if Spielberg decides to take on a comic book property, especially one for DC. Warner Bros. Pictures Group Chairman Toby Emmerich said this about the news:
We are so proud to be the studio behind Steven Spielberg’s latest hit, and are thrilled to be working with him again on this new action adventure. We can’t wait to see what new ground he will break in introducing Blackhawk to movie audiences worldwide."
If he does decide to direct Blackhawk it will most likely get made after Indy 5 and his West Side Story remake.
