VR Startup Backed By Steven Spielberg Makes Deal With AMC

People aren’t heading out to the movie theaters like they used to, and AMC theaters is trying something bold to make going to the movies an event again. AMC Theaters is investing 20 million into the Steven Spielberg backed company, Dreamscape Immersive. Virtual Reality on the level AMC is hoping to bring to film goers is beyond the scope of the VR units you can purchase for home use.

I am not completely sure how I feel about VR becoming a major component of the filmgoing experience. But, if Spielberg believes in it I am definitely willing to give it a shot.
