Cinema Blend spoke to Gremlins 1 & 2 director Joe Dante about the 35th Anniversary of Gremlins. The director discussed what an Amblin movie means to him, opening against Ghostbusters and the legacy of the horror comedy franchise.

About Gremlins:

A father buys his son a mysterious pet, named Gizmo, for Christmas. The creature comes with a set of odd rules that cannot be broken. When the rules are accidentally broken by the young boy—Gizmo inadvertently creates murderous Gremlins that attempt to take over a small town.
