Ukraine wins the first gold medal at the 2024 European Shooting Championships
Ukraine's national team won its first gold medal at the 2024 European Shooting Championships, which are taking place in Gyor, Hungary. SSPDaily told more about it.
Olena Kostevych and Oleh Omelchuk won the mixed team air pistol event at a distance of 10 meters.
In the final, the Ukrainian duo defeated the Austrian tandem of Sylvia Steiner/Rikard Zehmeister with a score of 17:11.
It is worth noting that Kostevych and Omelchuk won the European Championship gold medal for the second time in the team mixed air pistol tournament. Earlier, they jointly became champions in 2019 in Osijek, Croatia.
For Kostevych, this is the seventh continental championship gold in her career. Oleg Omelchuk won the European title for the fourth time.

The 2024 European Shooting Championship will end on Saturday, March 2. Four finals in rifle and pistol teams are scheduled for the final day of the competition.
