How to make 5 interesting toys for a cat with your own hands
Cats love to have fun. And toys are a great way for them to get out their energy and practice their hunting skills, whether it's a ball to chase around the house or an old stuffed animal.
SSPDaily writes, "However, pet toys aren't cheap, so it's much easier and more budget-friendly to make them yourself. Here's how you can cheer up your cat without spending a fortune.
T-shirt "knots"
Take an old T-shirt and place it on the table. Starting from the bottom edge, draw six thin rectangles. Cut them out to make six long strips of fabric. Put all these strips together and tie a single knot in the center.
Toss it to your cat and let it play with it. Make as many of these toys as possible.
"Fish" made of socks
Take an old pair of socks. Stuff them with paper or scraps of fabric. You can experiment with different types of stuffing to see what your cat likes best.
When you're done stuffing, make sure you have enough room left to tie a simple knot at the base of the stuffed area and the DIY fish for your cat is ready.
Cardboard "cat scraper"
Designed in the shape of a skyscraper, the cardboard cat scraper is a great tool for your four-legged friend to sharpen their claws or just jump around.
First, build a sturdy base by drilling a dowel through the center of the cardboard. Then stack the cut pieces of cardboard on top of each other to get the desired skyscraper shape. Leave the rest to your curious kitten's imagination.
Puzzle toy
You can make a toy out of two things your cat loves: a toilet paper roll and a box.
To do this, take a large cardboard box. Put egg carton, some balls, and toilet paper rolls inside to make something that looks like a cat pinball.
You can glue them to the box and add other items to make the game more interesting.
Cat toy made of feathers and threads
Using the templates, carefully cut out two feathers - one larger and one smaller - from medium-density wool felt.
Attach a ring to the bell and thread one end of a meter-long satin cord through it.
Attach the feather stems to the cord next to the bell, tying both ends in a knot so they don't fray. Attach this to the cane and play with your cat.
