Enliven your summer days with a delightful homemade drink that combines the invigorating flavors of lemonade and cucumber juice. This refreshing beverage can be served straight from the pitcher, garnished with slices of cucumber and lemon.
Ingredients
- 1 cup of water
- ½ cup of white sugar
- 1 cucumber, sliced
- Juice of 6 lemons
Directions
- Begin by gathering all the necessary ingredients.
- Prepare the simple syrup by combining water and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. Heat the mixture until it is about to boil, ensuring the sugar completely dissolves. Transfer the saucepan to the refrigerator and allow the syrup to cool for approximately 30 minutes.
- Use a blender or food processor to blend the cucumber until it becomes a pulp-like consistency.
- Place a fine mesh strainer over a bowl and pour the cucumber pulp into it. Let it sit for around 15 minutes, allowing the cucumber juice to collect in the bowl. You should obtain approximately 2/3 cup of cucumber juice.
- In a pitcher, gently stir together the prepared simple syrup, cucumber juice, and freshly squeezed lemon juice.
- Chill the cucumber lemonade in the refrigerator.
