Peeling potatoes is a tedious task that takes a lot of time and effort. And everyone has probably wondered at least once how to speed up this process and make it more efficient. This was reported by SSPDaily.

"Obviously," writes the Daily Dot, "this topic is really relevant, as the Internet is full of recommendations and tips on how to do it faster. For example, recently, in a viral TikTok video with 17.9 million views, an author known as Matt Weiss (@quitmyjob ) shared a useful tip on this topic.

While a pot of potatoes was boiling on the stove, Weiss told the audience about a hack he had invented.

"All you have to do is draw a line around the center of the potato," he said. Weiss then zoomed in on the image to make a thin line cut around each potato better visible. This "centimeter cut," he explained, makes it easier to peel the potatoes after cooking.

And not to be outdone, once the potatoes were boiling, Weiss demonstrated how easy it was to do so by simply pinching and peeling off the loose skin.

He also explained that this works with other types of potatoes, and included a video of him peeling a sweet potato just as easily.

Viewers loved this hack. The video received over 11,400 comments.
