How to easily clean a cutting board: simple methods
Regular care of cutting boards is crucial both to maintain cleanliness and to keep them usable. SSPDaily tells you how to do it.
Hot soapy water
To properly clean a cutting board, it should be washed with hot soapy water, using a brush or sponge to scrub the surface thoroughly. This will help remove food residue and kill bacteria. After washing the board, rinse it well with hot water and dry it thoroughly with a clean towel.
Vinegar
Spray or pour an equal mixture of white vinegar and water onto the cutting board. Leave it on for a few minutes to disinfect the surface, then rinse the board thoroughly with water and let it air dry.
Baking soda paste
Apply the paste to the surface of the cutting board and rub it in with a brush or sponge. Leave on for a few minutes and then rinse thoroughly with water.
Lemon and salt scrub
Sprinkle salt on the cut side of the lemon and then use it to scrub the surface of the board. After cleaning, rinse the board with water and let it air dry.
