To make delicious, tender syrnyky without flour, use regular semolina. SSPDaily tells about it.
Ingredients:
- cottage cheese - 600 g
- egg - 1 pc
- sugar - 4 tbsp
- vanilla sugar - 1 teaspoon
- semolina - 8 tbsp, if the cottage cheese is too wet, you can add more
- oil for frying
Preparation:
- Add egg, vanilla and regular sugar to cottage cheese and mix.
- Add semolina. Mix thoroughly with a fork or a spoon or use a potato masher until smooth. If the dough is too runny, add a little more semolina.
- Let the dough sit for 15 minutes to allow the semolina to swell slightly.
- Dust a board or table with semolina. Form balls from the dough, flatten each one a little, and roll them in the semolina.
- Heat a frying pan with a little sunflower oil, put the syrnyky and fry for a few minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Put the finished syrnyky on paper towels to get rid of excess fat.
