Only a few know the right answer: how to fry frozen cutlets - defrost or not
Frozen cutlets are sold in stores. Many people also prepare this dish in advance in large quantities and freeze it later to be able to reheat it at any time. SSPDaily tells about it.
But many people wonder: do you need to defrost frozen meatballs before cooking? The answer may surprise you.
Professionals say that there is no need to defrost any semi-finished products before cooking. We do this more out of habit than because it really helps to cook a dish faster or improves its taste.
It's enough to take the frozen patties out of the freezer and leave them at room temperature for a few minutes without wrapping.
After that, simply put them in a frying pan with heated oil, bring them to readiness over medium heat and serve.
Please note that in order to get a flavorful and crispy golden crust, you need to fry each side of the cutlet for about 5-8 minutes. And if you are worried that the cutlets will remain raw or frozen inside, add a little boiling water to the pan. It will be enough to cover the cutlets up to the middle.
If you don't like a golden crust or follow a certain diet, you can simmer the frozen cutlets over low heat for 10-15 minutes. But in this case, adding water is a must.
You can also bake frozen meatballs in the oven. There is no need to defrost them either.
