Samsung is reportedly planning to launch the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim in October
Samsung is rumored to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim in October, possibly under the name Samsung Galaxy W25 in China. This upcoming foldable smartphone is expected to be lighter, thinner, and larger in size compared to the standard Galaxy Z Fold 6 model. Recent leaks suggest that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim will feature a titanium frame but may not support the S Pen.
According to industry tipster Ice Universe on X, the release timeline for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim is predicted to be a few months after the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Although it remains unclear if the timeline focuses solely on the Chinese market or includes other global regions as well.
Last month, Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), expressed his belief that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim would be larger than the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Young hinted at a fourth-quarter launch (between October and December) and suggested a price point similar to the standard model.
As for the rumored specifications of the Galaxy Z Fold 6, it may feature a titanium frame, a 7.6-inch inner screen, and a 6.3-inch cover display. The device is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM. Storage options could range from 256GB to 1TB.
In terms of cameras, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 may boast a triple rear camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera. Meanwhile, the cover display is said to house a 10-megapixel camera, and an under-display 4-megapixel camera may be included as well. Reportedly, the device will be equipped with a 4,400mAh battery supporting 25W charging.
Keep an eye out for Samsung's rumored Galaxy Unpacked event in July, where the official details and announcements for the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and Galaxy Ring are expected to take place.
