How to make jelly for germinating carrot seeds

First, you need to take 1 tablespoon of starch and dilute it in a small amount of cold water. Then brew this mixture in 1 liter of boiling water.

For one tablespoon of carrot seeds, you will need about 2 liters of jelly. It is very important that the seeds are completely dry. They are poured into a warm jelly of water and starch, and then mixed. Insist the carrot seeds in the mixture for about 2-3 hours so that they swell.

The thing is that in a warm jelly, the carrot seeds will be evenly distributed and will not sink to the bottom at all.

How to sow carrots in jelly so as not to thin out the rows later

First of all, you need to prepare a bottle. A 1.5-liter plastic bottle is best. In its lid, you need to make a hole with a diameter of 2 mm with a hot awl.

If you have a ketchup bottle with a spout or a large dishwashing bottle (also with a spout), it will work just fine and you won't have to do anything else.

Next, pour the jelly and seeds into the bottle using a funnel and tighten the lid well. Then shake the mixture thoroughly and, slightly squeezing the sides of the bottle, pour the jelly and seeds into the grooves prepared in advance. Such seeds will lie down evenly, in a thin layer, and therefore will sprout without the need for further thinning.

Cover the seeds with moist soil or sawdust on top, and don't forget to compact them. It is important to make sure that the rows do not dry out. You can additionally cover the bed with foil. The seeds will germinate very quickly and evenly.
