Snoop Dogg delivers memorable moments at US trials with impressive performance

Renowned rapper Snoop Dogg, known more for dropping tracks than participating in races, stole the spotlight at the US Olympic athletics trials held in Eugene, Oregon. Representing Team USA and paying tribute to basketball legend Kobe Bryant, Snoop Dogg showed up in a patriotic tracksuit and a Team USA shirt, SSP reported.

In an exhibition race over 200 meters, Snoop Dogg competed against Ato Boldon, the former Olympic medalist from Trinidad, and Wallace Spearmon, a two-time NCAA outdoor 200m champion. While he may not have outrun his opponents, Snoop still managed to impress with a commendable time of 34.44 seconds, considering his age of 52.

Following the race, Snoop Dogg proudly acknowledged his achievement, stating, "34.44 for a 52-year-old? Ain't bad," and posed with his recorded time. Moving forward, Snoop Dogg will be serving as a Special Correspondent for NBC's primetime Games coverage in Paris, alongside host Mike Tirico. The rapper, also recognized for his acting and entrepreneurial ventures, offered viewers his unique perspective during the trials.

During NBC's coverage of the men's 3000m steeplechase, Snoop Dogg provided his vivid commentary. Expressing surprise, Snoop was taken aback when the runners skillfully hurdled over the obstacles, exclaiming, "Oh, he's jumping on top of the hurdle! You can do that?! That was a cold trick right there. I like that one. Went off the tippy-top."
