How to cleanse your skin properly

Chele said: "Apply cream and gel cleansers to damp hands, this will allow them to glide easily over the skin, capturing dirt and oil before rinsing off."

"Rub the product into the skin for at least 20 seconds and then rinse thoroughly. And to moisturize your skin, use toners and essences."

According to Chele, the only time you need your skin to be dry is when you use retinol (a fat-soluble vitamin)

The expert explained: "It is recommended to apply retinol only to dry skin, because otherwise, irritation can occur."

"It can also make the skin more sensitive to sunlight, so it's best to use it only in the evening."

And one last piece of advice from Chele: Always apply sunscreen in the morning, especially after using retinol the night before.
