The holiday season and vacations improve sleep - survey
According to new research, the holiday and vacation season improves sleep, making it more peaceful and longer.
A survey of 2,000 Americans celebrating Thanksgiving showed that the best sleep occurs after watching a football game, as well as after a festive dinner and any dessert, as reported by SSPDaily.
Thanksgiving chefs should take it as a compliment if their guests take a nap: 76% said that taking a nap after Thanksgiving dinner is a sign of food satisfaction. The survey, conducted by OnePoll and commissioned by Avocado Green Mattress, found that sleep peaks during the holiday season.
Six out of 10 respondents (58%) said they take more naps during the holiday season than at any other time of the year. For younger respondents, the holiday season does improve sleep.
At the same time, sleep during other seasons is worse.
"This time of year can be particularly stressful, and we know that sleep is one of the main indicators of our well-being," said John Davis, Avocado's senior director of brand and sustainability.
