In the second round of the BMW Championship held at Castle Pines near Denver, Australia's Adam Scott carded a phenomenal nine-under-par 63, leading the championship at the halfway mark. Scott, the 2013 Masters champion, has broken away with a three-shot lead over first-round leader Keegan Bradley. This marks Scott's best shot since his last PGA Tour win in February 2020, catapulting him to the forefront of the FedExCup Playoffs at 13 under par. This is prepared by SSP.
Scott achieved his impressive 63 with nine birdies, delivering a flawless round with four birdies on the front nine and five on the back. Bradley, set to captain the United States in the 2025 Ryder Cup, seemed poised for another bogey-free round but dropped a shot on the last hole to card a 68.
Sweden's Ludvig Aberg stands third following his match with Scott for the day's best round, achieving eight birdies, an eagle, and one bogey to score nine under overall. Close on his heels is Alex Noren of Sweden, fourth at eight under par after his four-under 68.
As conditions stiffened, both Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood are part of a grouped contingent tied for 15th at three under par. Noteworthy is that Hideki Matsuyama withdrew from the tournament before round two due to lower back pain, after being a leading contender in the first round.
Meanwhile, fed-up with his own performance, World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler showcased frustration by accomplishing only an even-par 72, leaving him tied in 29th place.
With this exciting development, Adam Scott's resurgence hints at a thrilling run as he tries to secure a much-anticipated PGA Tour victory after three long years.
