Rosenior Replaces Vieira as Strasbourg Manager
Liam Rosenior, former manager of Hull City, has been named as the new manager of French club RC Strasbourg. The 40-year-old guided Hull City to a commendable seventh-place finish in the Championship last season before being relieved of his duties when the team missed out on the playoffs, BBC reported.
Rosenior's appointment comes after Patrick Vieira departed from Strasbourg on July 18, following mutual agreement between the club and the manager. Sharing his excitement, Rosenior expressed his joy in joining Racing, a revered French club known for its passionate and loyal supporters. He assured the fans that he would dedicate himself to making the Stade de la Meinau proud of the team and its players.
With Strasbourg being owned by BlueCo, the company headed by Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali, the same owners as Chelsea, Rosenior steps into an influential role. The Alsace club finished in the 13th position out of 20 teams in Ligue 1 during the previous season.
Club president Marc Keller welcomed Rosenior, emphasizing his reputation as a promising coach known for his ability to garner impressive performances from his teams and facilitate player development. With this significant change in leadership, RC Strasbourg is eager to witness the impact that Rosenior will have at the helm of the club.
