Tottenham Hotspur Sign Winger Wilson Odobert
Tottenham Hotspur have acquired winger Wilson Odobert from Burnley for approximately £25 million on a contract that extends until 2029, Daily Mail reported.
The France Under-21 international joined Burnley last summer and made 34 appearances across all competitions, scoring five goals. Notably, Odobert became Burnley's youngest ever Premier League goalscorer at 18 when he netted a goal in a 4-1 defeat to Chelsea in October 2023, though the club has since been relegated. He initially rose through the ranks of Paris St-Germain's academy before joining Troyes in July 2022, where he scored four goals in 32 appearances.
Burnley expressed their gratitude for Odobert's contributions via a post on X: "Everyone here would like to wish Wilson all the best and thank him for his efforts during his time at Turf Moor."
Wilson Odobert will wear the number 28 jersey at Tottenham, who are set to begin their Premier League season away at Leicester City on Monday at 20:00 BST.
