Amy Schumer Shares When She and Chris Fischer Have Intimacy

Amy Schumer recently shared personal details regarding her marriage at the SNL50: The Anniversary Special in New York City. Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE on February 16, she joked about the limited days of intimacy with her husband, Chris Fischer.

During the event celebrating their seventh wedding anniversary on February 13, Schumer responded affirmatively to whether they have sex. She noted, "Yes. Seven years. We had sex. We did." When asked if the couple has intimacy only once a year, she humorously replied, "And birthdays. And birthdays."

The couple has been married since 2018, following a private ceremony in Malibu. Their wedding included a star-studded guest list featuring celebrities like Jennifer Aniston and Jake Gyllenhaal. Schumer and Fischer are parents to their five-year-old son, Gene David, born in May 2019.

In a sweet moment to commemorate her anniversary, Schumer posted a wedding day photo on Instagram. The picture shows her in a lacy wedding dress as she embraces Fischer. She captioned it with humor, writing, "7 years ago we signed a prenup and haven't had to utilize it! Love you babe."

During her appearance on The View earlier this month, Schumer talked about their plans to celebrate. With the SNL 50th occurring the same weekend, she jokingly mentioned that she might take a "plus-one" instead of attending with Fisher. She added, "But no, we’re pretty corny. We will make love. We will make sweet love."

The discussion continued with co-host Whoopi Goldberg's suggestion of intimacy during the anniversary celebration. Schumer confirmed, stating can plan such moments. "We do birthdays… we do schedule it. Nobody ever is like, ‘Oh!’ There’s never like, a vibe where it just happens." Sunny Hostin chimed in, noting the importance of scheduling intimate moments in a relationship.
