Angelina Jolie Supports Zahara at Mother-Daughter Brunch Event

Angelina Jolie showed her support for her daughter Zahara at a brunch event where Zahara delivered a speech. The 20-year-old spoke confidently at the gathering held by Women in Training, Inc. On Saturday, March 1, Jolie participated alongside other Spelman College students in Montgomery, Alabama. While Zahara addressed attendees, Jolie beamed with pride from the audience.

Breanna Bennett, cofounder of WIT, expressed excitement over Zahara's presence. "We’re very happy Zahara came!" she shared with Us Weekly. "Her speech was perfection—so vulnerable yet powerful! It reflected exactly what we aimed for, and the event wouldn't have matched without her!"
Brooke Bennett, Breanna's twin sister and fellow cofounder, reiterated their joy and praised Zahara for accepting their invitation. "We are elated that Zahara spoke at the brunch. We’ve developed a great partnership with her," she added. "We aim to collaborate with her to share our menstrual equity message worldwide."

The Bennett twins created WIT to combat period poverty, defined as lacking access to menstrual products like tampons and pads. Their flagship initiative, the WITKITS Campaign, offers monthly donations of canvas bags filled with essential products to at-risk girls, low-income women, and nonbinary youth.
Jolie, who has Zahara, Maddox (23), Pax (21), Shiloh (18), and twins Knox and Vivienne (16) with her ex-husband Brad Pitt, celebrated Zahara's enrollment at Spelman College in 2022. In 2023, Zahara joined the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, which boasts notable alumnae such as former Vice President Kamala Harris and actress Wanda Sykes.

An insider stated that Zahara’s adjustment to life at Spelman has been "really seamless." They explained that Zahara began her transition to campus life in 2022, allowing her ample time to adapt. "She’s had no issues making friends," added the source.

Earlier this year, Zahara accompanied Jolie at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards. Jolie, nominated for her role as opera singer Maria Callas in the biopic "Maria," mentioned on the red carpet, "Z is here." She noted that her daughter approved of her stunning metallic gown. "She’s hiding over there ’cause you’re live," Jolie playfully remarked, referencing Zahara's shy demeanor on camera.
