Anna Faris Discusses Potential 'House Bunny' Sequel: Shelley Is "Always in Me"

Anna Faris is eager to return to the role of Shelley Darlingson in a potential *House Bunny* sequel. During an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, she expressed enthusiasm about revisiting the character. "Oh gosh, that would be so fun," the 48-year-old actress stated. While she has not explored the idea in depth, Faris believes there is a market for it. "I often imagine Shelley as either a country singer or a flight attendant," she added fondly.
Faris played Shelley in the 2008 comedy, a character who faces challenges after being let go from Playboy at age 27. Shelley's journey takes her to a college where she revitalizes the struggling Zeta Alpha Zeta sorority while learning valuable lessons about confidence herself. The film also features notable stars like Emma Stone, Colin Hanks, and Kat Dennings.

In addition to "House Bunny," Faris has starred in several cult classics over her career. Her role in 2005’s "Just Friends" remains a holiday favorite. Recently, it was announced that "Scary Movie 7" is in development, although her return as Cindy Campbell remains uncertain. She reflected on her unpredictable path into comedy, saying she never expected it to shape her career. "I was shocked when I got cast in the first *Scary Movie*. I didn’t think I could earn a living as an actor," she shared. "Now, I can't escape comedy, and I have embraced it."
Faris finds humor in her unexpected success, noting, "I’m more comfortable making a fool out of myself!" Her 12-year-old son Jack, with ex-husband Chris Pratt, remains her harshest critic. He is known to roll his eyes at her jokes yet occasionally admits her humor is spot on. "I cherish the mother-son bond," she said, laughing. Jack dreams of running a small fishing hut, leaving the laughs to his mom.

The actress candidly described her challenges with cleaning, saying, "I’m notoriously a mess." She recalled her childhood cleaning duties that involved scrubbing bathrooms with an old toothbrush. So, when "Scrubbing Bubbles" approached her for a campaign, she was thrilled. "It makes cleaning easy," she said of the product, which has been highlighted in a series called "The Easiest Job in the World."
In this campaign, she disguises herself to interview participants while they use the "Easy Clean" line in a demo bathroom, showcasing its effectiveness. Faris described the experience as a blast, noting, "It was so much fun."
