Ariana Grande Jokingly Thanks "Good Friends Botox and Juvéderm" in Award Speech
At the 2025 Palm Springs International Film Festival, Ariana Grande humorously referenced cosmetic procedures while accepting an award.
After winning the Rising Star Award for her role as Glinda in Wicked, Ariana made a lighthearted comment about cosmetic fillers. She joked, "I've been performing since childhood, so at age 31, I never thought I'd hear 'Rising Star' again. I want to thank my good friends Botox and Juvéderm. I expected to hear ‘Slightly Withering Star’ or ‘Drooping Star’ by now, so thank you."
Jennifer Coolidge presented the award to Ariana. Coolidge’s presence delighted Grande, who thanked her warmly. "Thank you, Jennifer, for doing this for me, for showing up," Ariana expressed. She added that Coolidge's comedic talent has inspired her throughout her life.
Ariana also acknowledged her talented Wicked cast and crew, including director Jon M. Chu and co-star Cynthia Erivo. Together, they contributed to the film's success and her growth as an actress.
In previous discussions about cosmetic enhancements, Ariana explained her experiences with procedures. In a Vanity Fair video, she answered questions alongside Erivo under lie detector scrutiny. "I’ve had fillers in various places and Botox," she shared, remarking that she last used fillers four years ago.
Ariana expressed her supportive stance on cosmetic procedures, stating, "Whatever makes people feel beautiful should be allowed. Why do we care?" She mentioned her choice to refrain from plastic surgeries, such as nose jobs or breast augmentations. "Not yet. I'm open," she concluded, highlighting her openness to future options.
