Armie Hammer recently addressed various rumors during an episode of "The Louis Theroux Podcast" on February 11. The 38-year-old actor denied being a cannibal but confirmed he participated in a hunting ritual where he took a bite from an animal's heart.
Hammer discussed the experience and clarified that although he did take a bite, he did not consume the entire heart. He described the act as a sort of male rite of passage that many hunters experience. "You take a bite out of the heart while your buddies cheer you on," he noted. This tradition, he explained, reflects the excitement of a first-time hunting experience. Hammer emphasized that the act was not associated with cannibalism or any form of sexual gratification.

When Theroux directly asked him about cannibalism, Hammer stated, "You know what you have to do to actually be a cannibal? You have to eat human flesh. So, no." The actor’s career faced significant challenges in 2021 after he was accused of rape by an ex-partner. Allegations included unverified messages that referenced violent and sexual fantasies. Hammer denied the rape claims and stated that their interactions were consensual. The investigation by the Los Angeles police concluded in May 2023, with no charges filed.
During his interview, Hammer acknowledged the anger he caused others with his behavior. He labeled his actions as "A--- behavior," admitting, "Does it make me a d---? Absolutely." He further expressed that his conduct was not illegal, even though it stirred discomfort.

In a prior appearance on "Your Mom’s House" podcast, Hammer reflected on how the COVID-19 pandemic contributed to the notoriety he gained during that time. "People were miserable and locked in their apartments… This story provided an escape from their own lives," he shared.
Hammer noted the difficulty of maintaining his clean Hollywood image while being at odds with his real self. He described his marriage to Elizabeth Chambers at the time, sharing parental responsibilities for their children, Harper, 10, and Ford, 8. "Deep down, I wanted to get caught. I felt like an alien," he said. Yet he engaged with content like rope bondage on social media, reflecting his inner turmoil and desire to break free from the seemingly perfect public persona.
