Barry Keoghan Deactivates Instagram Account After Breakup with Sabrina Carpenter
Barry Keoghan has reportedly deleted his Instagram account following his split from Sabrina Carpenter. As of December 9, 2024, his profile redirects to an unavailable page, indicating that the link may be broken or the page removed. The reason for this action remains unclear, US Weekly reported.
Hours before deactivating his account, Keoghan shared a workout mirror selfie on Instagram to showcase his biceps. Reports confirm that Keoghan and Carpenter, who dated for nearly one year, have officially parted ways.
Sources revealed that their relationship became strained as Carpenter’s tour schedule kept her away frequently. "Their schedules were not aligning," a source told Us Weekly. The time apart proved challenging, amid Carpenter’s rising career. A second insider stated their breakup occurred within the last month.
"This has been a busy period for both, and their schedules weren't aligning," they explained. Both had hoped to spend more time together, but the circumstances took a toll on their relationship. Ultimately, the split happened amicably.
"They remain cordial; it wasn’t contentious at all," added the second insider. "Both recognized it just wasn’t working. Being in different locations all the time was a struggle."
Carpenter recently wrapped her Short ’N’ Sweet tour and completed the U.S. leg before releasing her "Nonsense" Christmas special on Netflix. Meanwhile, Keoghan remains focused on his career, involved in projects like "Bird," "Hurry Up Tomorrow," and the upcoming "Peaky Blinders" movie. He is also dedicated to family life; he shares a 2-year-old son, Brando, with a former partner.
Keoghan and Carpenter first met during Paris Fashion Week in the fall of 2023 and exclusively began dating in January 2024. Their relationship included numerous public appearances, including Coachella and a red carpet debut at the Met Gala. Keoghan appeared alongside Carpenter as her love interest in the music video for her song "Please Please Please."
Reflecting on their relationship last month, Keoghan stated on the "Louis Theroux Podcast," "All I’m going to say is I’m incredibly blessed. [She’s] such a strong, independent lady who’s massively talented, and yeah, [she’s] pretty special."
