Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor Cherish Their Reunion After Separation
Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor are expressing gratitude for their reunion after a brief separation. The couple, who share two children, cautiously value each moment together following their reconnection.
In 2017, the couple briefly parted ways but reunited during the COVID-19 pandemic. Stiller, 59, noted their experience during a January 16 appearance on The View. He emphasized their commitment to each other by stating, "In a relationship — we’ve been married for 25 years — you have to work at it."
Stiller continued to reflect on their time together during isolation. He expressed gratitude for the closer time spent with family and stated, "I’m so grateful we’re back together." He acknowledged that while some couples shouldn't reconcile, for them, it was the right decision.
Every day spent together is now considered precious. "What we have every day is a gift," he remarked, highlighting how important it is to appreciate their time together.
In a separate interview with The New York Times, published January 11, Stiller discussed the challenges leading to their separation. After moving back from California to New York, he described his marriage as "not in a great place." He explained that the disappointment of "Zoolander 2" impacted his perspective: "It blindsided me."
Stiller reflected on the separation as a time to assess their relationship. He revealed, "We had three or four years apart but always felt a connection." He admitted he always wanted them to be together and credited the pandemic for bringing them back into the same space.
Taylor shared her thoughts on their reunion in a 2023 conversation with Drew Barrymore. She emphasized how their swift marriage journey led to growth in different directions. "We got married very quickly," she noted, adding details of their whirlwind romance.
Both Stiller and Taylor now express a deeper appreciation for what they have built together as they navigate challenges and embrace happiness once again.
