Brandi Glanville Addresses the Impact of Facial Deformity on Her Life
Brandi Glanville, former star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, has candidly addressed how a mysterious facial condition has disrupted her life. During an episode of her podcast, "Brandi Glanville Unfiltered," aired on December 29, the 52-year-old revealed that her health issues are impacting her intimate relationships.
Glanville shared her struggles with intimacy, admitting that she hasn’t been with anyone for over a year. She originally thought her condition was caused by a "face parasite." "I have sh– to do. I have places to go, people to make out with. I have not had sex since last October," she confessed. "I haven’t kissed or made out with anyone. I haven’t socialized, really."
Her romantic life isn't the only aspect affected; Glanville noted she has limited in-person interactions. She mentioned feeling self-conscious about her appearance, stating, "I went to Texas once and that was it. Because things are going kinda whacky with me."
Sharing her condition publicly has provided some relief, allowing her to step back into social settings. "As soon as I shared it, I felt this giant pressure off of me to not hide anymore," she explained, reflecting on her isolation and struggle. "I was hiding and isolating and in f–king misery."
Earlier this month, Glanville spoke on social media, confronting naysayers while revealing the possibility of a parasite affecting her face. "Honestly, I have so many doctors and I’ve had so many tests…I did lab work for $10,000," she stated in a December 10 interview with Entertainment Tonight. "They’re like, ‘It could be a parasite.’ That’s, you know, new."
The reality star estimates she spent $70,000 trying to address her condition. Dr. Terry Dubrow from Botched referred to her situation as a "ticking time bomb" and offered assistance in uncovering the cause.
In a recent podcast update, Glanville confirmed she met with Dr. Dubrow but still has no answers. "No, I don’t know if I have a parasite yet," she reiterated. She explained that the medical opinions she's received have varied widely, leaving her frustrated. "If they’re perplexed, then I’m perplexed. There is no answer right now," she added. "There is no ‘ticking time bomb.’ I might look like a butterface. But my face is f—ked, but it is what it is. I had 50 good years. That’s what I keep telling myself. We’re still working on it, obviously."
