Brian Austin Green Matches His Kids in Festive Pajamas on Christmas
Brian Austin Green and Sharna Burgess celebrated Christmas joyfully with their children. In a delightful photo shared on Instagram on December 25, Green, 51, wore a white T-shirt paired with red printed pajama pants. He kneeled on the floor, assisting his youngest son, Zane Walker, two years old. Although Zane faced away from the camera, his matching pajamas were visible.
Behind the "Beverly Hills, 90210" actor, three children from Green's previous marriage with Megan Fox – Noah, 12, Bodhi, 10, and Journey, 8 – stood beside the Christmas tree, two of them wearing matching loungewear. Sharna Burgess, 39, added a festive touch to her Instagram Story, stating, "Merry Christmas everyone," along with heart and tree emojis. Brian proposed to Burgess in July 2023.
Green's eldest son, Kassius Lijah, 22, who he shares with ex-girlfriend Vanessa Marcil, was absent from the photo. Green and Marcil’s relationship ended in 2003 after a four-year partnership. Throughout the years, Green has been open about managing co-parenting with his former partners. "The number one [rule]," he shared with E! News in April, "is always make sure that everything is centered around the experience of the kids."
He elaborated, "Many think that they can shield their children from the impact of separation, but it will affect them. The choice lies in how it affects the kids." Although he and Fox maintain an amicable relationship, Green mentioned that they do have to "pick [their] battles" and prioritize their children's well-being. He remarked on their split in 2020, emphasizing that they separated for valid reasons.
Reflecting on co-parenting dynamics, Green admitted, "The individual you were once with may not be easy to work with after parting ways. It is essential to understand that it is now about co-parenting, which is very different." He also discussed the emotional challenges surrounding co-parenting with Vanessa Marcil. He noted that their co-parenting experience has been "difficult from the start." On a September 2023 episode of the "Old-ish" podcast, he revealed that battling vertigo for years made visitation challenging.
Marcil claimed that she primarily raised Kassius alone. Regrettably, Green acknowledged that he wishes he could amend mistakes made while parenting. Speaking to Us Weekly about fatherhood, he stated, "Looking back, there were clear errors made on both sides, as we were young and naive parents." Nevertheless, he recognized the importance of past experiences. "If I had not gone through parenting as I did, I would not be the person I am today."
