Chappell Roan Reveals She's in a "Serious" Relationship

Singer Chappell Roan has shared details about her personal life during an appearance on the podcast "Call Her Daddy." The 27-year-old musician confirmed that she is in a "serious" relationship and feels "very in love." This revelation occurred on the March 24 episode of the podcast, PEOPLE reported.
While speaking with host Alex Cooper, Roan clarified her relationship status. Cooper initially assumed she was single and asked, "Are you single?" Roan smiled, shook her head, and disclosed that she has been dating someone for six months.
Cooper, 30, inquired if the relationship was "casual," referencing Roan's popular song. Roan assured her that it is serious, stating, "It's serious. I'm very in love."
Roan explained that she met her partner "through a friend" and expressed confidence in their lasting connection. She noted, "I'm dating the same person that I was dating before it blew up." The singer confessed that she would find dating challenging now, saying, "I think it would actually be a nightmare. I would be, like, so f------ single right now."
In reflecting on dating, Roan admitted, "I'm scared. I don't trust anyone." She explained her wariness regarding sharing personal messages with others.
Despite her relationship, Roan supports the idea of being single. She encourages listeners to "stop dating" and "have a great time alone." According to her, understanding oneself is crucial. "Find out if you can 100% be okay alone before you date," she advised. Roan recounted enjoying her time being single, confident in her ability to navigate life alone.
About six months ago, Roan told Rolling Stone that she was seeing someone "completely outside of the industry." At that time, she expressed her hesitation to fully commit due to feeling "avoidant."
She described this new connection as promising but still valued friendship. "She’s so awesome and so secure in herself," Roan remarked, indicating the balanced nature of their relationship.

Speaking on "Call Her Daddy," Roan discussed her journey toward being more vocal about her sexuality. "I've become more comfortable with saying I'm queer," she noted. However, she also expressed feeling overwhelmed by the intensity of her emotions, saying, "This I think, like, my nervous system is so fried that I can't even feel flirtatious."
Fans and followers can stay updated on Roan's journey as she continues to navigate love, relationships, and personal growth.
