Christian Oliver’s Ex-Wife Honors Him and Their Two Daughters One Year After Their Plane Crash Deaths
Jessica Klepser, the ex-wife of actor Christian Oliver, expressed her profound grief one year after their tragic loss. Her heartfelt tribute came as she honored Oliver and their daughters, Madita, 12, and Annik, 10, who died in a private plane crash on January 4, 2024.
Jessica, who was married to Oliver from 2011 to 2021, shared her emotions in a poignant Instagram post on January 5. She reflected on the surreal passage of time, stating, "One year! Crazy how the same amount of days can feel unbearably long and unbelievably short at the same time."
In her tribute, Jessica also included a video showing people celebrating the memory of her family by setting up an altar on the beach. "We went back to Newport this weekend and allowed ourselves to feel it all: the love, the loss, the grief, the gratitude," she noted. Her message conveyed a mix of emotions, stating: "Pain and peace. We cried a lot, but we also laughed a lot. And that’s okay, all of it. Grateful for all those beautiful people in my life who let me be me this year!"
Jessica extended a direct message to her late ex-husband and their daughters, thanking them for the moments of beauty she experienced. She expressed, "Maditz, Anniki, and Chrissel, I will forever and always miss you and us together here on this side." She also appreciated the lovely views shared in her video, saying, "Thank you for sending the dolphins in the morning and for painting the sky pink at night."
This tribute is part of Jessica's ongoing effort to remember her family throughout the past year. In June, she revisited cherished memories while highlighting the depth of her loss. She recalled sifting through old messages from Madita, sharing a touching video her daughter had sent her. "I don't even remember she had sent it! Kind of crazy that she holds her phone up to heaven the whole time she sings!" Jessica reflected.
Moreover, Jessica recalled Annik's gentle strength in a tribute she wrote last January. She particularly remembered her daughter's kindness, noting, "She was always the first to offer a kind word or a comforting hug."
Shortly after the tragic accident, Jessica emphasized her belief in the enduring love of her family. She reassured herself in a previous Instagram post, saying, "They are here with me for every step. And they are watching us."
