Christina Haack Discusses Ex-Husband Josh Hall's Behavior Before Divorce

In the season premiere of The Flip Off, Christina Haack announced her divorce from ex-husband, Josh Hall. She revealed that his anger and temperament were ultimately the reasons for their split.

Christina opened up about her struggles during her marriage with Josh Hall, particularly highlighting his unpleasant behavior. She detailed these issues to her first ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa, stating that their marriage ended last summer after two years. Addressing Tarek, she said, "He doesn’t like me," referencing Josh's derogatory comments.

"He calls me cocky and thinks I’m arrogant," Christina explained. "We both know I neither act cocky nor arrogant; I simply work hard." Tarek supported Christina during this vulnerable moment, reminding her, "You’re neither of those things. He’s projecting." Tarek reassured her that she is a wonderful mother and person.

Impact on the Children

The impact of Josh's behavior went beyond Christina. She disclosed that her children noticed his temperament, saying, "The kids literally asked me to leave," which suggested they recognized his unkind nature. Also, Christina shared that Josh sometimes refused to speak to her for days, attributing this distance to his feelings of insecurity.

During an emotional scene, Christina reflected on the toll divorce has taken on her. "I feel like I’m caught in a tornado," she expressed, sharing her struggles since 2016. The emotional challenges deeply affected her; she revealed her attempts to hide the impact were failing. Her efforts led to making impulsive decisions, contributing to her painful feelings.

Reflections on Divorce

In a personal confession, Christina admitted her insecurities regarding her relationship history. "I never wanted to get divorced," she shared, noting her status as the only family member to experience divorce. She felt that returning to a relationship was safer, yet acknowledged that it had not proven to be a secure choice either.

Following the revelation of their divorce, Tarek posed a direct question to Christina: would she compete against him and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa, in the Flip Off renovations despite being single? Christina confidently affirmed, "Yes, I’m still gonna do it and I’m gonna do it better. I have more time now. I lost Josh, but he essentially doesn’t know much about flipping."
