Christy Carlson Romano, known for her role in Even Stevens, revealed in a video that she was rushed to the hospital after an eye injury. This accident occurred while she was out shooting clay pigeons, which was part of her husband Brendan Rooney's 42nd birthday celebration.
In her Instagram post from February 8, the 40-year-old actress shared the details of the incident. Romano stated, "I took him to shoot clay pigeons as a present." Unfortunately, during their outing in Austin, Texas, another group mistakenly fired in the wrong direction, hitting her in the face. The video displayed injuries around her right eye and forehead.
Romano described the moment her husband reacted. "He immediately sprung into action, assessed her, and rushed her to the hospital." She explained that she was hit in five places, with one injury alarmingly close to her right eye. A fragment remains lodged behind her eye, posing surgical risks; doctors plan to monitor the situation closely. Fortunately, she can see normally at this time.
The star of Special Forces: World's Toughest Test expressed her gratitude for being alive. "I love my daughters, husband, family, and friends so much. I saw my life flash before my eyes," she said. Romano urged her followers to cherish loved ones, saying, "Life can change in an instant."
