Courtney Stodden Marries Producer Jared Safier
Courtney Stodden, 30, has wed TV producer Jared Safier, 41, in a last-minute ceremony in Palm Springs. This event featured 20 family and friends joining the celebration on December 3.
Stodden is entering a new chapter in her life. Notably, she first gained attention when marrying Doug Hutchinson at just 16. For her wedding, she wore a stunning vintage dress valued at $60,000, complemented by her signature blonde hair, which she had recently reverted to after years as a brunette.
The couple organized their wedding swiftly, just three weeks after realizing their families would be together for Thanksgiving. "We planned on getting married without a date," Courtney shared with Us Weekly. "We looked at each other and decided that this was the perfect time to go for it."
Courtney expressed her free spirit and assured that this trait will continue in marriage. "It felt like the right time, and everything came together perfectly," she noted.
The unconventional couple met during a coffee meeting in August 2023. There, she humorously advised Safier not to fall for her. "He thought I was crazy," she recalled. "But I felt a connection; it was as if we had experienced many kisses before."
Describing their instant chemistry, she stated, "It was an unspoken feeling. I felt destined to be with him, and everything has been working out naturally."
Reflecting on her previous relationships, Courtney found her wedding day even more meaningful. "I want happiness. The quick Vegas marriage was overwhelming at 16," she explained. "Having the choice now feels empowering. No parental approval is required — this is entirely my decision."
"I always feel nervous due to my past," she admitted, yearning for her happy ending. "Yet, I know I am marrying a truly wonderful man. I’m filled with hope and all the emotions that come with this commitment."
Both share strong sentiments about their union. Safier expressed enthusiasm, saying, "I get to marry my best friend and love in front of our families — I'm thrilled!"
Courtney encapsulated her feeling of belonging perfectly: "I feel that all my experiences led me to this moment, and I'm pursuing it wholeheartedly."
