Craig Conover Shared Plans to Marry Paige DeSorbo Weeks Before Breakup
Just three weeks prior to Paige DeSorbo revealing her breakup with Craig Conover, Craig expressed optimism about their relationship. He discussed plans for marriage and family, stating, "We're playing the long game."
Craig's outlook on their romance highlighted his intentions. He mentioned, "We know we're going to get married one day, and when it happens, it'll be a lot of fun." His interview with People, published on December 5, reflected excitement about the future. However, he acknowledged uncertainty regarding the timeline of their wedding.
Moreover, Craig noted that these future plans motivated his decision to quit drinking. He felt that sobriety would prepare him to be a more suitable partner and father. He elaborated, "We're playing the long game. It would be easy to go for instant gratification, but the foundation that we're building is so that we die together one day, not just make it fun."
While he did not set a specific date for an engagement, he believed there was no need for pressure. He shared, "I think people will have a lot more of our lives to watch because we're taking our time than if we were to rush it." Craig also anticipated starting a family in a couple of years but admitted they would need to figure it out as they moved forward.
However, just three weeks later, Paige announced the couple had ended their relationship after three years. Despite this, she reassured fans that there was "no bad blood" between them and described the split as unexpected.
On the December 30 episode of the Giggly Squad podcast, she expressed her enduring admiration for Craig, stating, "He is one of the best people I’ve met in my entire life. I will remain the biggest fan of him and want the best for him."
Although Craig has not directly addressed the split, Paige reflected on their decision to separate. She emphasized that it felt like the right choice, asserting, "No one did anything. It wasn’t a bad thing. I think we both were just being really mature and saying what we want and what we didn’t want." She highlighted the importance of clearly expressing their feelings about the future.
