Demi Moore’s Oscars Loss Softened by French Fries and Puppy Cuddles

Demi Moore found a relatable way to handle her Oscars loss.
Moore, 62, narrowly missed winning the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in "The Substance" on Sunday, March 2. Instead, she enjoyed cuddles with her dog, Pilaf, alongside two large bowls of French fries. The moment was captured by her daughter, Tallulah Willis, 31, on Instagram. In a cozy photo, Moore, dressed in a white bathrobe, snuggled with her beloved Chihuahua while savoring her salty treat. Tallulah captioned the post, "MY winner 🍟."
Earlier that day, Tallulah showed support for her mother as they prepared for the Oscars. She uploaded a photo wearing a sweatshirt that read, "Demi F—ing Moore." Moore shares Tallulah with her ex-husband, Bruce Willis, and they have two other daughters, Rumer Willis, 36, and Scout Willis, 33.
Moore was favored to win the role of Best Actress for portraying TV fitness guru Elizabeth Sparkle in the body-horror film, "The Substance." Despite earning a Golden Globe and a SAG Award for the performance, she missed out on the Oscar to Mikey Madison from "Anora." During her acceptance speech, Madison expressed her surprise and gratitude, acknowledging the Academy and the feeling of finally being recognized in Hollywood.
In addition, Madison, who portrayed a stripper, acknowledged the "sex worker community." She expressed her intention to continue supporting and advocating for these women, whom she regarded as a highlight of her unique journey. The actress competed with talented nominees, including Cynthia Erivo from "Wicked," Karla Sofía Gascón from "Emilia Pérez," and Fernanda Torres from "I’m Still Here."

All four actresses, including Gascón, 52, Madison, 25, Moore, and Torres, 59, were first-time Academy Award nominees this year. Notably, Erivo, 38, earned two previous nominations in 2020 for her portrayal of Harriet Tubman in "Harriet" - one for Best Actress in a Leading Role and the other for Best Original Song for "Stand Up."
At the ceremony, "Anora" won the award for Best Picture. Additionally, Adrien Brody secured the Best Actor award for "The Brutalist," while Zoe Saldaña received Best Supporting Actress for "Emilia Pérez." Kieran Culkin won the prize for Best Supporting Actor for "A Real Pain."
