Diddy Accused of Allegedly Dangling Woman From Balcony
Sean "Diddy" Combs faces allegations of sexual battery in a recent lawsuit filed by fashion designer Bryana "Bana" Bongolan. Court documents revealed that Bongolan accused Diddy of intimidating her multiple times, including an incident where he reportedly dangled her from a balcony. According to the filing, the act was meant to terrorize her and strip her of any sense of safety and autonomy.
Bongolan stated, "The only purpose of dangling someone over a balcony is to kill them or to intentionally terrorize them." She emphasized her refusal to let fear dictate her life, demanding accountability from Mr. Combs for the trauma she experienced.
In September 2016, Bongolan alleged that Diddy held her over a balcony while screaming at her. She reported that he described himself as "the motherf—ing devil" and suggested that she had no idea what he could do to her. Diddy’s legal representative responded to Bongolan's claims, stating he "firmly" denies the allegations.
Diddy’s spokesperson commented, "Anyone has the right to file a lawsuit, regardless of the evidence." The spokesperson also mentioned Bongolan's previous intentions to sue Diddy, noting that he remains confident the claims will be proven unfounded.
Bongolan also mentioned that she observed troubling signs of abuse during Diddy’s relationship with singer Cassie. Diddy and Cassie were together from 2007 until 2018. Recently, Cassie filed her own lawsuit claiming assault and abuse, which was settled the next day. Diddy denies all those allegations.
In September, a grand jury indicted Diddy on multiple charges, including sex trafficking and conspiracy, detailing that Diddy allegedly "abused, threatened, and coerced women and others around him" for years. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges and is currently held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, with the court denying him bail multiple times.
Diddy’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, expressed disappointment in the prosecution, characterizing it as unjust. He emphasized Diddy's cooperative attitude throughout the investigation, stating that Diddy relocated to New York in anticipation of the charges. Agnifilo portrayed Diddy as an innocent man eager to clear his name, urging the public to withhold judgment until all facts are presented.
