Diplo Admits to Being on LSD at Super Bowl Party

The Philadelphia Eagles soared during Super Bowl LIX, and DJ Diplo seemed to be on a high as well.

Diplo, 46, confessed to using LSD during a Super Bowl event over the weekend. At the Fanatics Super Bowl party in New Orleans on February 8, he openly told a videographer, "I like acid, though."

He added, "I do that. I’m on it now again." According to footage published by TMZ on February 10, the DJ continued, "I’m just chilling. It’s a little bit. I’m not, like, tripping. I’m not gonna do backflips."

The producer revealed he microdoses LSD around four times each week. While he emphasized he wouldn’t advocate drug use, he advised those interested in psychedelics to "try it and see how your body reacts."

This is not Diplo’s first time discussing LSD. He previously admitted to tripping during CNN’s New Year’s Eve broadcast, which featured Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen on December 31, 2024. When Cohen asked about unconventional places for LSD use, Diplo chuckled and said, "Right now." He added he had taken it while on a helicopter ride.

Cohen and Cooper reacted with surprise and laughter. "Oh, my God! Hold on, hold on," Cohen responded. Diplo simply confirmed, "Yeah." He noted a "light trip" resulted from microdosing, although he may have taken more earlier that day.

After regaining his composure, Cooper joked about Diplo’s lifestyle: "I wish I was Diplo. I just think he has a fun, cool lifestyle."

In March 2023, Diplo shared an experience about running the L.A. Marathon while using LSD. He put drops of the substance in his water bottle the night before the race. Despite his unique prep, he completed the marathon in three hours and 35 minutes.

"I do a lot of LSD, but I’m not tripping and looking at the stars," he told Esquire in May 2023. He felt nervous before the marathon since 14 miles was his longest run. He explained, "Woke up late, put it in my water, and drank it on the way to Dodger Stadium. It was maybe half a tab of acid."
