Disney Influencer Dominique Brown Passes Away
Dominique Brown, known for sharing her love of Disney and its theme parks on her personal account and the Instagram page BlackGirlDisney, has sadly passed away at the age of 34. Reports indicate she died after experiencing an allergic reaction during a holiday event hosted by the pop culture retailer BoxLunch in Los Angeles on December 5. The official cause of death has not been confirmed.
A spokesperson for BoxLunch expressed their sorrow in a statement on December 7, saying, "We are devastated by the passing of Dominique Brown, a beloved member of the BoxLunch Collective who suffered a medical emergency at our event." The statement continued, "Our hearts go out to her family and friends. We will do everything possible to support them during this difficult time."
Dominique's brother, Patrick Ramos, extended his gratitude to the fans for their support following the news of her passing. In a comment on her last Instagram post, he shared on December 6, "Thank you to her social media family for showing so much love and light." He noted that Disney brought her joy, but the community she found was unparalleled. "I will miss my sister and best friend and that infectious smile she always had," he added.
Dom, known as HellooDomo online, garnered heartfelt tributes from fans and fellow influencers alike. One user, @dapperonthedaily, wrote, "The kindest, most genuine person in this community… we will miss you, Domo." Another user, @thatmagicmama, commented, "One of the kindest people I've met in this community. Because of you, we have been changed for good."
