Drew Scott and Linda Phan Share Parker's Funny Reaction to Baby Sister Piper
Drew Scott and Linda Phan recently shared their experiences as parents of two children with PEOPLE during the fourth A Sense of Home Gala, held at Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos' residence on October 24. They discussed the humorous reaction of their two-year-old son, Parker, to his newborn sister, Piper Rae, who arrived on May 21, 2024. Linda mentioned that the most rewarding aspect of their growing family is witnessing the bond between Parker and Piper. Drew added that Parker's role as a big brother started off uncertain, but the siblings are now fast friends. Linda humorously noted that sometimes Parker wondered if they could "return" his sister, but believes they will ultimately become best friends.
Drew reflected on the initial jealousy Parker felt toward his sister, which has since evolved into affection as Piper takes in all she can from her brother at just five months old. Linda also shared Parker's perception of his little sister, seeing him as the funniest person in her world. Drew stated that raising a daughter hasn’t been particularly different compared to raising a son, except managing an energetic toddler is challenging and tiring.
The couple expressed their pride in participating in the gala that recognized Shawn and Serena Levy's support for A Sense of Home, a charity dedicated to preventing homelessness among youth exiting foster care. For Drew and Linda, contributing to creating safe homes holds significant importance. In June, they joyfully announced Piper's arrival by posting an Instagram photo of her hand and feet with a heartfelt caption about their extended family. Drew shared challenges and excitement lined with the new chapter, even amongst varied advice about parenting a daughter while eagerly anticipating the journey with Piper.
