Dwayne Johnson Leaves Oats and Carrots for Reindeer on Christmas
Dwayne Johnson, the actor and father of three, is committed to his family's Christmas traditions. He has a 23-year-old daughter, Simone, with ex-wife Dany Garcia, and daughters Jasmine, 8, and Tiana, 6, with Lauren Hashian. At 52, Johnson embraces the excitement of the holidays, as shared in his interview with PEOPLE ahead of the release of his new Christmas movie, "Red One."
For Johnson, the most rewarding aspect of the holiday season is gathering his family. He expressed joy in the excitement for Santa: "We got little ones at home. Santa's coming. That's exciting." His cherished custom with Jasmine and Tiana unfolds on Christmas Eve.
Johnson mentioned staying up late, though not excessively, on Christmas Eve. He explained, "The kids can't sleep because they're too excited." This joyful anticipation creates a lively atmosphere as the family watches a Christmas movie together. When the children finally fall asleep, they prepare for Santa's arrival.
The actor highlighted the significance of leaving out cookies, notes, oats, and carrots for Santa and the reindeer. He stated, "It’s crazy because in the morning – the reindeer, they eat all the food." Johnson cleverly immerses himself in the fun, enjoying the treats left out for the festive night.
Additionally, Johnson shared a delightful experience of introducing Jasmine and Tiana to the set of "Moana 2." He vividly described their reactions when they heard their voices in the theater. They had waited in eager anticipation and their joy was palpable.
He recalled, "It was so cool." Their reaction made the experience of fame feel particularly rewarding. As Johnson humorously noted, "That’s the good stuff of fame. And nepotism."
