Dwayne Johnson's Quest for Taylor Swift Tickets: "It’s Never Happened in My Career"

Even Dwayne Johnson faced challenges securing tickets to Taylor Swift’s highly sought-after Eras Tour.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Johnson shared that he utilized his connections to obtain tickets for a friend, a rarity in his experiences. "Taylor Swift. The only one. It’s never happened in my career. Usually, I don’t have to pull strings … I just make it happen," said the 52-year-old actor in an interview published on Sunday, November 24. He humorously added, "In this case, it was for a good friend of mine who was like, ‘Please. Taylor. Last concert.’ I’m not good at asking for that kind of stuff. I prefer to give rather than ask."

He elaborated, "But in this case, made a little call, Taylor made it happen, [we got] tickets … [my friend was] happy. I received a picture of the happy ladies who attended. I appreciate that about Taylor."

Swift is soon concluding her record-setting Eras Tour, which launched in March 2023 and wraps up in Vancouver on December 8. The tour has attracted A-list attendees, including figures like Tom Cruise and Prince William.

The Johnson family enjoys Swift’s music significantly, alongside fellow pop icon Beyoncé. "We love Taylor, we love Beyoncé," Johnson mentioned, reflecting on his daughters, Jasmine, 8, and Tiana, 6, whom he shares with wife Lauren Hashian. He also has a daughter, Simone, 23, from his previous marriage to Dany Garcia.

Johnson affectionately calls his youngest daughter Tiana "Tiyoncé." He humorously added, "She’s like, ‘Yeah!’ She owns it." Johnson's youngest daughters even voiced characters in the upcoming "Moana 2," where he reprises his role as Maui.
