Elisabeth Moss Welcomes Her First Child

Elisabeth Moss, known for her role in The Handmaid's Tale, announced she welcomed her first child in 2024. Remarkably, she gave birth while filming the final season of the Hulu series in Vancouver.
The actress expressed her gratitude for having her baby on set. "So many parents cannot," Elisabeth said at PaleyFest LA on March 26, according to The Hollywood Reporter. She emphasized, "Anyone who has had the privilege of bringing their kids to work, knows how lucky we are."
At 42, Elisabeth shared her pregnancy news in January 2024. She reflected on the "beautiful synergy" between her own journey as a mother and her character, June Osborne. "This connection of art and life was incredibly meaningful," she told THR in a March 28 interview. She expressed gratitude for experiencing a deeper emotional connection to June's struggles this season.

Elisabeth highlighted the significance of her experiences within the show's narrative. She stated, "I'm really happy that I got to have that experience."
O-T Fagbenle, her onscreen husband, noticed a change in her performance as a mother. "This series explores motherhood deeply, and Lizzie experienced that," he mentioned. He felt joy for her journey and remembered the first day of filming, appreciating the extraordinary experience she had gone through.
Elisabeth previously married Fred Armisen from 2009 to 2011 but has not disclosed the identity of her baby’s father.
