Expensive Pricing Expected for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 in Europe

Samsung's upcoming foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, are rumored to come with a hefty price hike in Europe. Leaks suggest that both devices will see a considerable increase in price compared to their predecessors, potentially making the Galaxy Z Fold 6 the most expensive mass-manufactured handset in the market. This was reported by SSPDaily.

According to tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be offered in three configurations. The base model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is expected to be priced at EUR 2,200 (roughly Rs. 1,96,000), while the variants with 512GB and 1TB storage options could be priced at EUR 2,330 (roughly Rs. 2,08,000) and EUR 2,580 (roughly Rs. 2,30,000) respectively. This indicates a significant increase of about EUR 300 (roughly Rs. 26,000) compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 5.

Likewise, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 is also rumored to see a price increase. The clamshell smartphone is expected to launch in two variants, with the base model starting at EUR 1,330 (roughly Rs. 1,18,000) for the 256GB storage option, and EUR 1,450 (roughly Rs. 1,30,000) for the 512GB variant. This marks a bump of approximately EUR 130 (roughly Rs. 11,000) in the price compared to its predecessor.

Samsung has announced that it will unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and potentially other products at the Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for July 10. Apart from the smartphones, the event may also showcase the Galaxy Watch 7 series, Galaxy Tab S10 lineup, Galaxy Buds 3 series, and AI features under the Galaxy AI suite.

While these leaks suggest an increase in the price of the new Samsung foldable smartphones, it remains to be seen how the company will justify these higher price points and whether the devices will truly offer an enhanced user experience and innovative features worthy of the price tag.
