Former Chiefs Cheerleader Reveals Swift and Kelce's Game Day Tradition
Kansas City Chiefs cheerleader Stefanie Hill shared insights on TikTok about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's evolving romance, particularly during game days. Hill spent six seasons cheering for the Chiefs, witnessing Kelce and Swift's public love story unfold in parallel with her own experiences at games, PEOPLE reported.
In her TikTok video from September 2024, Hill reflected on the day Swift attended her first Chiefs game on September 24 during the 2023-2024 season. "The moment she arrived, I was so nervous," Hill shared, recalling that it was challenging to focus due to Swift's star power in the crowd. Hill humorously recalled, "I didn’t know how to do my job because I had to watch the game and cheer."
During that game, Hill created a choreographed routine. She was thrilled when Swift applauded her performance on the stadium screen, exclaiming, "She watched our dance and is now applauding!" For Hill, this moment was unforgettable and confirmed that someone as prominent as Swift appreciated her cheerleading.
Hill discussed how Swift supported Kelce post-game. The cheerleading locker rooms are adjacent to the athlete locker rooms, which allowed Hill to observe many moments between Swift and Kelce. "After games, Swift frequently met up with Travis by the locker room," Hill mentioned, highlighting how close they were to the gatherings.
Towards the end of the video, Hill described her own fangirl moments as she and her fellow cheerleaders hoped to meet Swift. "We decided to wait by the door, thinking Swift might walk by," she laughed. "Even as a non-Swiftie, I found myself crawling down to take a picture with her!"
Remarkably, at the end of the 2023-2024 season, Hill unveiled a "crazy tradition" the Chiefs cheerleaders uphold every time they head to the Super Bowl. "We get tattoos each time we make it. Recently, we returned to Definitive Tattoo Gallery since we loved it last time!"
Hill proudly revealed her fourth Super Bowl tattoo, stating that it represents the Super Bowl year alongside an arrowhead symbolizing the Chiefs' heritage. "It's not obligatory to get a tattoo, no pressure at all," she clarified. Still, she added that most of the cheer squad decided to participate, including their athletic trainer, who got a Vegas-themed tattoo featuring the number 34 – this number mirroring the size of their cheer squad.
