Gwyneth Paltrow Reflects on Her Romance with Brad Pitt

Gwyneth Paltrow has shared her thoughts on her past romance with Brad Pitt. The two actors dated for two years in the 1990s before getting engaged, but their engagement ended just six months later. They first met while reading for the film "Legends of the Fall" in 1994 and co-starred in the 1995 thriller "Se7en."

In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Paltrow, now 52, remarked on Pitt, 61, saying, "He’s a very intriguing character." She likened the experience to dating someone like Prince William, stating, "That’s always going to come up."

During the interview, Paltrow recollected Pitt attending her birthday while she was filming a movie. She recalled working up to 20 hours each day, six days a week in the English countryside. When she finally received 12 hours off, she mentioned a producer made her feel entitled, which she described as "a horrible feeling." This situation left her concerned that the producer might attempt to portray her as difficult.

Both Paltrow and Pitt have moved on since their romance. Paltrow was previously married to Chris Martin, the Coldplay frontman. After their conscious uncoupling, she wed writer Brad Falchuk in 2018. Pitt married Jennifer Aniston from 2000 to 2005 and later entered a relationship with Angelina Jolie. They wed in 2014 but split in 2016. Currently, Pitt has been dating jewelry designer Ines de Ramon since 2022.

Previously, in May 2023, Paltrow discussed her relationship with Pitt on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast. She described their connection as instant and filled with "major love at first sight." Paltrow revealed she ended their engagement because she felt unprepared for marriage, leading to feelings of heartache after their breakup. "It was the right thing at that time, but it was really hard," she said. Paltrow felt overwhelmed, realizing that Pitt, being nine years older, was ready for commitment, while she felt uncertain about her own path.
