Gwyneth Paltrow Sells Los Angeles Mansion for $22 Million
Gwyneth Paltrow has sold her Los Angeles residence, netting an impressive $22 million. She initially purchased this property with ex-husband Chris Martin.
Recent records from the Wall Street Journal indicate she sold her 8,000 sq. ft. residence for $22 million. The home was first listed at $29.99 million in May. Five months later, the price dropped to $24.9 million before she accepted a winning bid. She bought the house for $9.95 million in 2012 with Chris Martin.
Nestled in the Mandeville Canyon area of Brentwood, the dwelling spans six bedrooms. It features a large open kitchen and a guesthouse with a bedroom, gym, office, wine cellar, and game room. The home, originally built in the 1950s, underwent renovations in 2009.
Gwyneth, 52, chose to sell the home to downsize as her children, Apple, 20, and Moses, 18, are maturing. Listing agent Lea Porter shared this reasoning. The actress and her husband, Brad Falchuk, married in 2018, plan to spend time in other residences in Montecito and New York.
Despite the Los Angeles wildfires, Gwyneth’s property appeared unaffected. She actively contributes to relief efforts, announcing her lifestyle brand's donation of over $2 million in goods to charities addressing the disaster's extensive damages.
In a January 16 Instagram post, she emphasized the importance of communities, stating, "Every house is a haven, and a witness to the people who made it a home."
