Gypsy-Rose Blanchard Celebrates Newfound Freedom with Driver’s License

Gypsy-Rose Blanchard, 33, recently celebrated a major milestone by obtaining her driver's license. She expressed her gratitude for the support she received during the process.
In an Instagram Reel shared on February 27, the former Munchausen-by-Proxy victim excitedly declared, "Hi everybody! So, I’ve got some big news!" She confirmed her new status as a licensed driver in Louisiana.
During this Reel, Gypsy-Rose mentioned a trip to gather supplies, inviting her followers along for the ride. She noted that her adventure was recorded using a GoPro camera.

As she drove toward a local Dollar General, she shared her test experience. "I took my driver’s test partially in December, and partially in January. The course was pretty easy. The questions were okay," Gypsy-Rose explained. She acknowledged her need for improvement, focusing on parking and turning into lanes. "I sometimes pull in too fast, but I will work on that."
With time, she felt confident behind the wheel. "For the most part, I’m a pretty good driver," she mentioned, highlighting that she recently bought her first car. Upon arriving at her destination, she said, "I need to get a few things for Aurora and myself."
Gypsy-Rose and her partner, Ken Urker, welcomed their daughter on December 28, 2024. This date marks a year after her release from prison linked to the murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard. Gypsy-Rose endured years of unnecessary medical procedures during her childhood due to her mother’s actions.
Once back from her shopping trip, she walked to her car and expressed her thankfulness for the support she received while learning to drive. "I was very nervous to begin driving," she stated, "and so I just wanna thank everybody for their encouragement. And I finally did it!"
As a new mom, Gypsy-Rose has mentioned her choice not to share frequent photos or videos of Aurora anymore. However, she occasionally provides glimpses into their lives. On February 14, she posted a sweet photo of her boyfriend holding Aurora, captioning it: "My two loves on Valentine’s Day 🥰 @kenurker." Aurora’s face was not visible in the picture.
"She just started smiling a little bit here and there," Gypsy-Rose shared. "She definitely loves to cuddle. She’s a cuddle bug."
The second season of "Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up" premieres on March 10 at 9/8c on Lifetime.
