Harlan Coben Reveals March Madness Fun with Stephen King

Harlan Coben and Stephen King share a friendly rivalry during the NCAA tournament. Coben, 63, discussed this during the March 24 episode of Good Morning America. He promoted his latest thriller, Nobody’s Fool, and revealed his participation in a March Madness betting pool alongside King. This is prepared by SSP.
GMA anchor Whit Johnson prompted Coben to discuss the trash talk within their competition. Coben humorously replied, "I’m terrible. Last year, I came in last place. That’s why I think they invited me." He added, "I’m threatening to come in last place yet again." Coben then joked that his picks are "more frightening than anything Stephen writes."

Johnson responded, "I can only imagine the trash talk, impeccable prose, and perfect grammar." Coben lightheartedly agreed but noted they keep such exchanges limited to their books.
During the show, Coben highlighted his latest novel, calling the writing process a blast. He claimed that readers could finish the book in a single night. "Start at 10 o'clock tonight. Say, ‘I’m only gonna read for 15-20 minutes,’ and then you’ll wake up at 4:00 in the morning, cursing me," he quipped.
The synopsis for Nobody’s Fool reveals the plot: "A year after the devastating events in Fool Me Once, a secret from former Detective Sami Kierce’s college days resurfaces." The narrative highlights the ongoing struggles of Kierce as past events seem to linger.
Coben did not confirm whether this sequel would lead to a new season of the popular Netflix series inspired by Fool Me Once. "This book focuses on Adeel Akhtar’s character, Sami Kierce, one year post-series," Coben explained to The Hollywood Reporter. He noted that Kierce and his wife held less importance in the original Fool Me Once narrative, making this book seem like a continuation of the series instead.
Nobody’s Fool is now available wherever books are sold.
