Heather Rae El Moussa Accidentally Calls Christina Haack's Home 'Our House'

Heather Rae El Moussa jokingly referred to Christina Haack's home as "our house" during an Instagram Live event. This amusing slip happened while the trio was answering fan questions about their new HGTV series, The Flip Off. This show features Christina, 41, competing against her ex-husband, Tarek, 43, and his wife, Heather, 37, in a house-flipping competition.

Near the end of the Instagram stream on January 29, Heather replied to a fan question about their evening plans. "We’re hosting a premiere party at our house!" she said with excitement, before quickly correcting herself. "Not our house — at Christina’s house." Tarek humorously chimed in, "We all live here! It’s our new show coming out."

The lighter mood escalated when a fan commented, "Three’s Company," alluding to the sitcom about playful roommates and their adventures. The three stars laughed heartily at this reference.

Close Bond and Jokes Sensitivity

The trio continues to address their unique professional dynamic openly. In a recent Instagram promotional interview, Tarek reacted to a fan's suggestion that they should "go your separate ways." With humor, Christina responded, "We have children!!" She added, "We’re stuck together forever!"

In a playful jab, Tarek lamented, "What do you want me to do? I got two kids with her [gesturing to Christina]. I got one kid with her [pointing to Heather]. I’m stuck in the middle!" He has a daughter, Taylor, 14, and a son, Brayden, 9, with Christina. With Heather, he shares a son named Tristan, 2.

Changes in the Show's Format

Originally, The Flip Off was set to feature Heather and Tarek in a competition against Christina and her husband, Josh Hall. However, the show's format changed when Josh, 44, filed for divorce from Christina in July 2024. Promotions for the series now focus solely on Christina, Tarek, and Heather. HGTV indicated in a December 2024 statement that Christina would finish the season with a "trusted team" instead of a fixed partner.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Christina admitted she sensed that her marriage would not last shortly after filming began. Both Tarek and Heather received her updates about the tensions in her marriage, so her decision to separate did not shock them.

Tarek told PEOPLE, "Honestly, her wellbeing is very important to us. Not just for her, but also for the kids." He conveyed the familial bond that exists among them, emphasizing the difficulty of watching a close friend navigate a tough situation. He further remarked on Christina's efforts, acknowledging, "In the end, it just wasn’t a good place for her or the kids."
