Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt Share Remnants of Their Home Post-Wildfire
Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt shared their experience of salvaging a few possessions after devastating wildfires destroyed their home, US Weekly reported. In a TikTok video posted on January 9, Montag, age 38, documented Pratt, age 41, retrieving items from a small plastic bag.
Pratt, wearing a vintage T-shirt supporting Montag's music career, revealed the objects he managed to save. He identified a Hummingbird pot and shared its details. "The Hummingbird pot — with some nectar cooked into it," he noted. "Which brand is this? They deserve all the [accolades]." He continued listing the items from their backyard, which included a rubber snake, two crystals, Ryker’s shovel, and some broken pieces.
Of all the items, the stand-out was the pot – an All-Clad Copper Core dish. "This is the best thing ever," Pratt expressed his attachment. "Eight years of cooking and mixing thoroughly. I’m gonna have that redone; some people can restore that."
Montag's caption for the video was telling: "What was left of our house." The couple, married since 2008, lost their home in the Pacific Palisades wildfires, which ignited on January 7. They had evacuated along with their children, Gunner, age six, and Ryker, aged 13 months.
Pratt shared a reflective message via Instagram on January 8, noting, "The one positive sign I saw as our house burned down was our son’s bed burned in the shape of a heart. A sign of how much love was in this house. So thankful for all the years and memories there with our family."
As they were leaving Los Angeles, they couldn’t pack everything. Montag described the packing frenzy in another TikTok video: "The craziest thing about packing for a fire is your brain just freaks out. It’s so overwhelming. I only have two pairs of jeans, and two shirts. Thankfully, I grabbed what I could, and that’s such a blessing. The main thing is that we’re safe."
On the same day, Stephanie Pratt, Spencer’s sister, expressed her heartbreak over the situation on her Instagram Story. "Just spoke to my dad – he tried to save my brother’s house, but the wind was too strong. There was nothing he could do," she mentioned. Both of their parents lost their homes in the fires. "Even the fire station in the Palisades has burned down. The Pacific Palisades is completely on fire," she stated.
She added, "I don’t even want to look at mine. My dad told me the market down the street from my house was on fire. This is such a tight community. I’m at a loss, knowing so many friends have lost their homes today, so quickly. I hate that I’m so far away. Thinking about flying home so I can hug my family."
